Submissions are open.
This Summer, we are accepting submissions of written work and visual art on the theme of Psyche.
The caterpillar roams the garden, hunting for food until it is ready to make its chrysalis. In the chrysalis, it digests itself. Its body completely breaks down and reforms, to emerge with wings. For the butterfly, the garden has been transformed.
Psyche means both “soul” and “butterfly” in Greek. How does the human soul experience such a metamorphosis? From what material do you make your cocoon? What dreams come to you in the mushy formlessness before rebirth? How will you use your new wings?
Send us your best work. Show us what inspires you. We can’t wait to see what you send us!
