Sapphic Spots Along San Francisco Bay

by Zoie Burt

1. Oyster Point

pearly highs & moonlit eyes

they tend to sing a lullaby

to tempt me to tempt her

tiptoe & whisper

unfurl a new leaf

one sigh of relief.

2. Pier 15

when we’re older & wiser

more allowed to go there

we can sing a coast of desire

whirl water on fire

mouth parted in wonder

as the world tears asunder:

3. Lands End

All Else Can Be Entropy

while we

us forever

stay {together.}

Zoie Burt is a sophomore at UCLA studying English, Chinese, and Creative Writing. She is from the San Francisco Bay Area and can’t wait to see where else words take her.
